Caregiver Workshops

To help family and friends who are caring for someone who is elderly or who has a long-term chronic illness, Sincera is partnering with Hospice of Northwest Ohio to offer workshops at various places and times throughout the area.

Caring for the Caregiver: Finding the Blessings in the Experience is designed to help caregivers find greater joy in the caregiving experience and to turn day-to-day chores into meaningful, memorable experiences.

Topics Covered in the Ongoing Series

The number of sessions offered varies by location. The goal is for participants to learn:

  • How simple things can help them cope with the stressors of caregiving
  • How to care for themselves so they can better care for their loved ones
  • How to have difficult conversations
  • How to make important decisions about end-of-life care
  • How to maintain a positive, healthy and hope-filled outlook

Access the tools and helpful hints in the workshop Resource Book.

Hands-On Education for Caregivers

Many people feel ill-prepared to provide the physical care that is required of them when caring for a loved one at home.

This free, two-hour workshop, held at varying times at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Toledo Center, will help caregivers tend to the needs of their loved ones with confidence. Through discussion and interactive demonstrations in a small-group setting, family members will learn about:
